The committee unanimously agreed and therefore decided it was the right decision to re-start the U18s for the 2020/21 season, especially after the success previous teams had at that age group. The committee said "The club were disappointed we couldnt have an U18s team last season but with the low numbers of players we had at the time, it was out of the clubs hands. But we are excited to see yet more youngsters getting the opportunity to wear the yellow and blue of Monmouth Town FC".

Scott Russell the 1st Team Manager said about the news "Its brilliant that the team will run next season, we have some really good young players coming through and this will bridge the gap between youth and senior football for the players. Its worth noting that this season we have had 11 under 18s represent the 1st team, some as young as 16, something Dan, Mark and myself are proud to have given the opportunity to the young players and we continue to develop good local players, with the simple notion of 'if they are good enough, they are old enough"

The club will announce the new U18s coaching team in the next few days.
